Educator

In the Fall of 2007, Shana was a guest artist at the University of Virginia. She taught acting for dancers, Viewpoints for actors, and multi-disciplined theater making.

She is currently fulfilling a teaching residency with the Boulder Ballet, bringing physical theater workshops to local public schools.

Course offerings available on request.

“Her presence in the classroom set a perfect example for what she was asking of the students and as a result, the commitment level and depth of the class grew exponentially...The students responded to Shana in a wonderful way. They spoke very highly of her teaching methods and theories but mostly, they reacted to the honesty and warmth she brought to class. Since Shana's residency, there has been a great shift in our classes.”
–Rose Pasquerillo-Beauchamp, Instructor of Dance, University of Virginia.

“Shana always kept things playful and energetic which created an amazing environment in which I, as an artist, could create and, as a student, could learn. She is very clear in getting her point across, but very friendly at the same time…In the time we worked with Shana, I learned a lot about my art -- but more importantly about myself. Her attitude, energy, and outlook on life are all things that I can only hope I will be able to incorporate into my life as I continue to grow.” –Justin Paxton, student,, University of Virginia .
